Bmore CX stage Race IV
For the past four years our friend Jim has been putting on an annual informal cyclocross stage race in the various parks of Charm City. It’s always been a low key invite only sort of deal and this year we were fortunate enough to be invited. Keith, Jeremiah and I woke up early and met at Hold Fast HQ and then drove down to the meet up spot by Patterson Park. There we met up with Colin and Erin and got a bite to eat and some coffee as the racers trickled in. When just about everyone arrived, we saddled up, braved the wind, and headed to the first stage…
Stage 1 was at the East end of Patterson Park and was a pretty straight forward loop. Up a big stair set, down a hill, ride through grass. I don’t remember who won any of the races probably because I was only near the leaders at the very start of the each race.

In between races we hit up some local spots for brews.

Stage 2 was rash field, you know where they do volleyball near Federal Hill. the course was flat, gravely and sandy. A lot of running on this one… we are not used to running.

Stage 3 was Riverside Park in Federal Hill. The set up was a pretty straightforward loop with a Le Mans style start and a dog poop mine field

Stage 4 was in Latrobe Park my favorite stage of the day, it was well balanced and fast. Jeremiah did really well over all, Colin and I, not so much. Tommy won and we Keith took a group shot.

Overall a great time, so big thanks to Jim!
